I don’t have a particular problem with the idea of making a selfie. There are lots of reasons why one might choose to do so: to register a mood, time or place (yes, I was here!). They can, of course, be used for self-promotion or to create an idealised version of the self.
I decided to head in the opposite direction without overdoing it. I am a middle-aged man and I look it. I’m not pushing a particular brand, personal or corporate, and I am not trying to monetise a social media feed. I might like to explore ageing a little later in the course, so I thought I’d start with something like this:
